Tom Kopelman, current First Team physiotherapist at Tottenham Hotspur & Clinical Director at Zone Six, Loughton is being joined by Dr Ravi Gill who is a Musculoskeletal, Sports and Exercise Medicine Physician, and is the current Men’s First Team Doctor for Tottenham Hotspur FC. 

 

The clinic will include an assessment, diagnosis, including an ultrasound scan, and formulation of a bespoke treatment plan with two expert clinicians at once.

TOM KOPELMAN MSc, BA Hons, BSc, MCSP, MAACP

FIRST TEAM REHABILITATION PHYSIOTHERAPIST TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR FC, DIRECTOR OF HEALTH & PERFORMANCE & CO-FOUNDER

Tom is current First Team Rehabilitation Physiotherapist at Tottenham Hotspur FC. Tom works day to day rehabilitating Premier League and international footballers back to performance, and also works with celebrities, professional cricketers, young athletes, Olympians and consultant to a world boxing champion. He works closely with the ZONE SIX Team to oversee the creation and implementation of the health & performance programmes at ZONE SIX.

Prior to becoming a Physiotherapist, Tom played cricket for Essex and the MCC as a bowler, where he had the opportunity to play around the world, including Mozambique, Botswana, Ireland, at Lord's Cricket Ground and bowl at some of the worlds best players including Sachin Tendulkar. Injuries whilst playing began his interest in Physiotherapy.  

 

Tom graduated from The University of East London and began his career in the NHS. Tom has extensive experience in a variety of sports such as rugby, cricket and boxing before moving to work in football full time. He currently works to rehabilitate and prepare some of the worlds best international players for the Premier League, international tournaments and the Champions League final also working for the worlds most renowned football managers. Tom has rehabilitated the current England FC captain back from his biggest injury to date. Tom has also travelled working internationally and visited some of the world's most advanced sports rehabilitation centres and has incorporated these practices into ZONE SIX.

 

Tom's extensive experience means he has worked with a variety of different patients, in settings from in hospital, at home and in leading facilities, from amateur sportsman to elite athletes at the height of their game. Tom has also completed a Masters in Sports Medicine, Exercise and Health at University College London with a special interest in tendinopathy.

Tom is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy,  the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists and the Football Medical and Performance Association.

MENS FIRST TEAM DOCTOR TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR FOOTBALL CLUB & MUSCULOSKELETAL, SPORT & EXERCISE MEDICINE PHYSICIAN

Dr Ravi Gill is a Musculoskeletal, Sports and Exercise Medicine Physician, and is the current Men’s First Team Doctor for Tottenham Hotspur FC.

​

He is passionate about musculoskeletal medicine and focuses on non-operative care. Dr Gill is dedicated to helping patients return to their favourite activities through comprehensive holistic care, optimising their daily performance, well-being and quality of life. His clinical interests include muscle injuries, joint pain, tendon pain, sport related concussion, back pain and female athlete health. He treats patients with osteoarthritis and can prescribe exercise bespoke to the patient. He is proficient in diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound.

With a career committed to the health and performance of athletes, Dr Gill is a key figure in the English Premier League, providing expert medical care to elite domestic and international players. His skills have been sought by esteemed head coaches such as Mauricio Pochettino, José Mourinho and Antonio Conte.

​

Dr Gill's experience spans beyond the Premier League, including numerous high-profile matches in Europe. A notable achievement was his involvement to the 2019 UEFA Champions League Final, demonstrating his ability to manage high-stakes environments. Dr. Gill is an active contributor to sports medicine education. He is a guest lecturer and serves as an interviewer and examiner at Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry.

Dr. Gill's scope also extends to cricket, he is a consultant for T20 Indian Premier League franchises and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), highlighting his versatile and comprehensive understanding of sports medicine.
